Philosophy

All students learn in slightly different ways, and The Grammar Shop and More seeks to create individual programs to assist students as they develop skills, build knowledge, and discover independence and self-reliance.

"Forensic Educator"

Brad works with each student to discover both strengths and “stretches” and develops an individual educational plan to hone skills, broaden knowledge, and impart efficient and independent strategies for continued success. Through a series of initial diagnostic activities that Brad has developed over 25 years in a variety of classrooms, we will determine just what kind of learner your child is and how best to enhance the strengths and to improve the stretches.

To provide a special place for learning, discovery, development, personal growth, support and challenge for students of all ages, abilities, interests, and objectives.

Dyslexia Survivor

Having battled dyslexia his entire life, Brad understands innately the challenges of reading, writing, and multistep math operations and how to create strategies and “checks” to compensate and encourage independence and efficiency. His own challenges did not stop him from becoming an excellent teacher for over twenty-five years. Brad works with each family personally, and guides the staff and tutors to help them appreciate, recognize, and address the challeges of dyslexia with compassion, understanding, and experience.
