Virtual and Distance Learning at The Grammar Shop and More...

We are working on creating some outdoor learning experiences for the summer at a beach or park near you during the mornings.

Groups are forming now for:

  • Math Fundamentals: review and refresh your math skills from odds vs evens through trigonometry

  • Spelling and Writing Mechanics: these often dreary exercises come to life with the stories and adventures of Maynard and the Old Pirate, who teach spelling, writing, and grammar with the pirate's flair, and the parrot's precision.

  • Research and Report Writing: learn how to take those essential questions, find their answers and craft a report that educates, informs, and connects with the intended audience.

  • Creative Writing: express your inner poet, scribe, novelist, journalist, or story-teller.

  • Other interests? Just ask and The Grammar Shop can quickly come up with a curriculum to meet your needs.

Afternoons are still available for individual sessions in person at your residence, or online.

Weekday Afternoons: Our weekday afternoons start at 3:30 on Mondays, 2:30, and 3:30 Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Weekends: We also offer weekend appointments to fit around school, sports, arts, and other extracurricular activities. Email or call for an appointment.

SAT/ACT Prep: TGSAM continues to offer support for the two main college entrance exams as well as help with the common application, the UC system application, and many, many more. Twenty 2 hour sessions (times, days, dates TBD) $4000 per student.

Private Tutoring: TGSAM will continue to offer private hour and 90- minute tutoring sessions during the school year.  One hour, $110, buy ten sessions for $1000, or 90 minutes for $165, buy ten sessions for $1500.

All TGSAM programs come with detailed lesson plans and session notes. What we do is special, so come and see for yourself.

Outside in Person Sessions: TGSAM is prepared to visit your students at home this year. With a good outside space and the proper precautions, like masks, face shields, and materials we are starting to get back to working in person.
